WORSHIP AT HOME – Pentecost is the celebration of our gifts of the Spirit – gifts that affirm faith, gifts that celebrate others, gifts that lift up and heal. Pentecost is more than just a day in the church calendar.
THIS WEEK’S LESSON PLAN: Pentecost was the day that the church was born because after Jesus’ friends were filled with the Spirit on that day, they became brave and bold messengers
about God’s love. On this day we remind ourselves that God’s Spirit is just as powerful in the world today as it was in Bible times.
WORSHIP AT HOME – “You know how people are saying, ‘We’re all in this together!’ Well, no, we’re not. I live in a home where I am comfortable and have space but many do not. The pandemic has revealed huge fault lines and injustices.” William Willimon
THIS WEEK’S LESSON: (Primary and Youth Plans): Many days after Easter morning, Jesus was walking with his friends. He told them that it was now time for him to leave them and to go and be with God. He reminded them that he was counting on them to carry on his work in the world. Jesus could see that they were feeling very sad. He promised that God’s Holy Spirit would come to be with them to be their helper.
WORSHIP AT HOME – Maybe now is the time to rediscover how it is that you live, and move, and have your being in God. Maybe now is the time to find those words to account for the hope that is in you, words that are within you but you haven’t spent time with.
