“Warm up” Campaign – “MST” acronym for Mittens, Scarfs and Toques

Collected for Stouffville Food Bank and our OPEN CUPBOARD.

As the weather turns cold and we start wearing hats and scarves, we are asking you to remember those folks who don’t have warm winter wear. Please be sure to include adult sizes as well.

As we have done in other years, we will be Collecting Mitts, Scarves and Hats. We have a new way to collect them this year but we wanted to let you know now so those knitters among us can get busy!

Volunteers will available at Drive Thru to help fill the BASKET with your Mitts, Scarves and Hats.

The United Church of Canada developed Gifts with Vision in response to member requests to be able to give gifts to relatives, friends, and loved ones that are in direct support of the church’s Mission & Service partners.
Families in the fly-in communities of northern Canada can go hungry even when food is available in local stores because high prices make groceries unaffordable. Food transport disruptions caused by COVID-19 have only made food more expensive. Help people in the Far North access the food they need.

The Stouffville United Mission & Service Team will be available during White Gift Drive Thru to collect your monetary donations to Food for the North or you may give directly though website. https://giftswithvision.ca/

Cheques made payable to Stouffville United Church – Food For The North.  Tax receipts will be issued at year end for donations of $20.00 or more.  Cheques can also be mailed in or dropped off in locked mail box inside the south entrance doors no later than Monday Dec. 14, 2020.
