Many days after Easter morning, Jesus was walking with his friends. He told them that it was now time for him to leave them and to go and be with God. He reminded them that he was counting on them to carry on his work in the world. Jesus could see that they were feeling very sad. He promised that God’s Holy Spirit would come to be with them to be their helper.
THIS WEEK’S YOUTH LESSON PLAN:
The book of Acts was written to help Christians remember Jesus after he was no longer with them in person. We encounter Jesus at church (through scripture, hymns, each other, prayer) and at the end of our time together we are commissioned or “sent out” into the world.
