JONAH’S MESSY OLYMPICS-July 13, 2020

Messy Church is moving to your home, due to COVID-19.
We were so sad to announce that Messy Church is postponed. We miss gathering, and we miss the mess! As we are asked to keep a safe distance, Messy Church is traveling to your home. Please pray with us that we will be able to meet again with our Messy Church family. In the mean time, may this Messy Church at home give you some hope.

The Tokyo Olympics may have been postponed,
but the Jonah Olympics are about to happen in your own home!

Remember that God hears our prayers even in the deepest, darkest places.

Here is another MESSY CHURCH AT HOME and our theme will be the story of God’s call to Jonah (Jonah 1). Here are some creative things that you could make or do.
Make a HUGE fish! However big you would like to using recycling, picture, collage, clay – whatever comes to hand.
Here is a dynamic make that gives you Jonah and the whale and a game to play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ruF4rm3dXo
You could make a large sized whale to hide in! Make your whale and then listen to the story of Jonah sitting in the belly of the whale.
I hope that you will enjoy some of these ideas. Please do send a picture of the things you have made to communications@stouffvilleuc.ca
In Ontario, we have an Extended Family Fishing Week in July (This year, we extended Family Fishing Week. It will take place from July 4 to July 19, 2020) Add an Olympic event for the largest fish with your family.
